Megaton Feature Part 2

Nintendo has finally come to their senses and decided to combine two of their most successful series, Pokémon and Perfect Dark to create the ultimate first person shooter, Pokémon Dark. Set on the same island as Pokémon Snap, it seems a toxic waste spill has poisoned the Pokémon population, causing them to mutate. It is now up to Ash to take down the rogue Pokémon and take them down hard! Using a multitude of weapons that will do everything from stun the Pokémon to turn them into a thin layer of Poké-flavored paste, expect the action to be fast and furious.

Following the previous incarnations of the Pokémon series, the plot will be extremely in-depth. It starts with an animated sequence that mixes both cel shading and polygonal graphics (in order to keep the integrity of both Pokémon and Perfect Dark). During this sequence, Ash awakes to find all of his Pokémon have smashed from their Pokéballs and escaped. Even Pickachu has abandoned his master. In his quest to find the missing Pokémon, Joanna Dark and the Carrington Institute contact him. She informs Ash of the toxic waste spill and provides him with both transportation to the island along with a host of new weapons to battle the scoundrel pocket monsters.

Some of the new weapons introduced in this title include the FPS standard Rocket Launcher, a semi-automatic 9mm, and an array of new Pokéballs. These new Pokéballs include a Stun ball, which is used to capture the Pokémon for a live autopsy on the Fox network special "Pokémon Autopsy."

After replacing his Pokédex, which is an electronic encyclopedia, with the "Pokédeath 2.0", Ash begins his new quest to "Kill ‘em All" (Accompanied by constant cries of "Gotta Kill ‘em all!"). However, upon further investigation, Ash find out that the "toxic spill" story is a cover-up provided by the Carrington Institute. Even stranger, he finds that the Institute in nothing but a shell company of MicroPokésoft, the new owners of this Rare institute.

Using mind-control drugs developed by Professor Oak, Dr. Pine, and "Big" Red Wood, the Pokémon have been subjected for years. These drugs have caused them to repress their natural Pokémon mating rituals, become obsessed with cleanliness, and restricted to using only a single word, their name. Through a clever plot, the three most intelligent type of Pocket monsters have been kept separate: Bulbasaur, a plant-type Pokémon; Charmander, a fire-type Pokémon; and Squirtle, and water-type Pokémon. Using the camera weapons, and taking into account this titles "M" rating, you will be able to take pictures of the mating Pokémon. If you own the GameCube modem, you will be able to upload these pictures to a password-protected site and view them for a mere $19.95 a month (with Age Verify software)!

Stumbling upon this plot, Ash is confronts Joanna is finds out you should never bring a Pokéball to a gunfight. Teetering on the brink of death, Ash is rescued by the leader of a secret underground movement lead by (**Spoiler Alert**) Captain N!

Captain N has his own axe to grind with MicroPokésoft. It seems their involvement his lead to his disappearance from the spotlight during this last few years. Early experimentation with the mind control drugs lead to the pigmentation change of the normally blue Megaman, causing him to become green and mutter "Mega Mega!" at every opportunity. Exposure to the drugs also caused Captain N to hallucinate and believe he owned a GameBoy that could fly, had arms, and talked.

Hardened by his experience with MicroPokésoft, Ash begins his recovery and takes the moniker of Revolver Ash-a-lot. Captain N and Ash-a-lot turn the MicroPokésoft weapons against combination of Mother Brain, Joanna and Team Rocket led cult known as "Heaven’s Gates" (This could be a mis-translation). Using the secret device called the "Game Barracuda," our heroes unite Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle by their side and begin their assault against the baddies.

A cel-shaded, network enabled, polygonal FPS has never been attempted on any console but if anyone can do it, we are sure Nintendo can. It doesn’t get more MegaTon than this!
