News - Soul Calibur 3 European release info

According to
Jeuxpo, sources close to
Namco have confirmed to them that Namco's
Soul Calibur 3 will be released in Europe in October, for PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and another console (most likely Xbox 2). The Japanese release should be confirmed soon as well.
This follows the
reports from last month about the arcade version of
SC3 being released in Autumn, though that's pretty quick for arcade-to-console.
This information hasn't been confirmed by Namco yet, so take it however you'd like. Hopefully we'll hear from Namco soon.

I've logged over 100 hours on SCII, which is a very long time for me. I don't normally play on a single game for so long. If they keep Link in it, he should also have his hookshot, which would work a bit like Ivy's extending sword.

I don't know, i just said it would be awesome if he was in soul calibur. He doesn't just have to be on the ps2 version, he could be for all three consoles. Kina like necrid.

Chronotrigga, masterkungfu, why would they put a character owned by Ubisoft (PoP's Prince) in a game owned by Namco? And why would he be on the PS2?

PS2 - Dante/Prince of Persia Dude (1 or 2)
Xbox - Masterchief w/ energy sword...or covenent elite with energy sword
Cube - Instead of Link why not get Sheik this time around?

kiyoshi meka: Yeah, the PS2 and Xbox ones were lame, especially PS2. But Dante won't happen. That's a Capcom character, not Sony.
Master Cheif would own though.
katamari: A PSP port? You'll already have superior versions on PS2, GC, and Xbox and a much more superior one on Xbox 2. The last thing PSP needs is another straight PS2 port.

Hopefully PS2 and Xbox will have better characters.
PS2 should have Date and Xbox should have the Master Cheif with the energy sword. Link should stay.
