has announced that they will be releasing up to 30 titles annually for the Chinese mobile phone market. The games are being planned to be published by Shanghai Mobile. The first three titles will be classic 1980s games, including
with each game costing 2 yuan, roughly 24 cents in America. Eventually, Konami plans to increase the market by offering downloadable ringtones and standby screens.
Konami's decision was mostly based around the fact that China has the largest growing Cell phone market of any other country at this point. At this point, this makes Konami's 30th country where they provide mobile phone content. Whether or not they will enter the US markey, well, here's hoping.
