Continuing the Xbox 360 support announcements,
Bioware revealed that it currently has two games in the works for Xbox 360 in an interview with Gamespot that was published today.
"We're working on two [Xbox] 360 titles right now, so we have a pretty good sense of what's possible, and where this generation's at," said Greg Zeschuk, co-CEO of BioWare. "I think we'll see where it's going pretty soon, but I think all the next-gen stuff is pretty exciting. (And we're really excited about the [Nintendo] Revolution and the ability to download and play all those old games!)"
Notice that Zeschuk said BioWare is excited about the Revolution; though whether he means from a game developer's standpoint or a gamer's standpoint isn't totally clear (him mentioning downloading and playing old games points to the latter).
One of the Xbox 360 titles is likely a sequel to
Jade Empire, BioWare's latest hit. There has been talk of a sequel for some time now, and according to the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly (in their "Rumor Mill"), it should be coming in 2006.
The other Xbox 360 title is a mystery. Could Bioware be taking back the reigns from
Obsidian to develop
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3? Hopefully we'll find out soon.

Comparing Bioware to Midway insults you, not Bioware.

Yeah if Bioware makes two new games for the Xbox 360, I'd really prefer if they were actuallly new. I don't want to see another Jade Empire (this soon at least) and I don't want to see another KOTOR at all. You're one of the premier North American CRPG developers Bioware, use those creative minds to make a new series. (Or if push comes to shove, I hear good things Neverwinter Nights ha)

Anyone else bored of the KotOR engine? I thought it was really interesting playing what I played of the first KotOR game, but I think I'm kinda sick of it now. I really wanted to love Jade Empire, but it felt like I was playing a console game wih a PC RPG identity crisis.

I believe they also mentioned the PSP as a platform they're considering developing form. Not certain how I feel about that though.
Honestly, I think there are some decently talented people within Bioware, if they do decide to make a game for the Revolution though I think they need to sit down and take a few lessons from Nintendo's development teams.
Of course, I think a lot of US development studio's should do the same.
