I know what you're thinking. What's up with the game title? Well,
SNK, maker of the
King of Fighters game series, has released today the game
Days of Memories, a dating sim. That features their
King of Fighters females. Yes, you read that right. Any fanboy who has a FOMA90X series phone (and lives in Japan) can now play this dating sim. The dating sim apparently incorporates a real time system that keeps track of how long the player waits between each session, and the game's options change accordingly.
And as if one wasn't enough, a second game is already being developed, along with a multitude of other games that obviously cater to the fans. Enjoy these ultra small screenshots:

I thought Dizzy was the hot one, or every other GG girl besides I-no, I she's the one I like the less. Than again that may be caused by her insane almost unblock able special, thanks to her I have never beaten GGX#Reload.

Seriously, SNK need's to port all of their NGP, NGPC and cell phone games to the GBA or DS in some kind of "SNK pocket classics collection", they just need to add a bit more color to the sprites and if they change the music, have an unlock OST because the NGP music kicked all sorts of ass.

Hi, I'd like to point out that I am the ONLY one who said a damn thing about Street Fighter. Street Fighter has prestige about it. KoF, while at its heart very pure and good, does things like this. If this were just a dating sim, I'd be fine with it. This is an "unlock 'ecchi' pictures of the female KoF fighters" sim. I vote they just make it out-and-out porn instead of beating around the damn bush.

What's the problem, at least SNK is doing something for their IP's unlike Capcom who's just letting SF and Darkstalkers die. Besides, the game is only for Japan, and in Japan dating sims are insanely popular almost as popular as Mahjong.
If you don't want it, good, it's not meant for you anyway.

I love the SNK fighting games as much as I love the Capcom fighting games.
I don't really see anything wrong with taking your popular franchise characters and putting them in a soft dating sim game. Especially since the game apparently tracks time, so it would have new or different content everytime it is played. Kind of like how Animal Crossing changes based on date, time. This sort of thing is just fan service, but it looks like SNK has gone the extra mile to make it an interesting game with time changing content. Conversational games are just not something the average consumer outside of Japan buys though. I am glad that SNK decided to take a tried and tested genre - Dating Sims - and inject it with a bit of variety. I'm betting the script, character reactions, and personalities are pretty in-character too. The artwork is rather nice and I am sure the storylines are an interesting read.

I really don't get how people can get pissed at games that don't appeal to them. Nobody's holding a knife to your throat and forcing you to play it. This game has its audience; it's for them and not you.

Seriously, wtf is everyone's problem?
I adore SNK and am thrilled that they've been so active lately. I hope to God that some of the titles they announced for the PS2 at the Tokyo Game Show come to the U.S.
And when it comes right down to it, why's this such a bad idea? I've never played a dating sim myself, but I guarentee that this will make SNK/Playmore some fan-service cash. More cash, more things SNK. That's perfectly cool with me.

its a cell phone game! don't take it seriously.fan service is in all fighting games(mai-snk/ino-guilty gear/morrigan-capcom/every girl in dead or alive)SNK playmore is doing great in my opinion.however, i did notice that lately GAF hasn't been covering the real news on SNK except for this one which is a tiny not important thing.

holy f***. playmore and the SNK brand need to die now. this series and company needs to disappear. i once had respect for them, and loved there games but now.... now there just s***. The company thats around now must be under some new ownership or something, cause these aint the guys from the 80's and 90's
