Not too much out of Famitsu this month, but we do have one of the first review scores for Dirge of Cerberus from Dengeki. Polyphony's Tourist Trophy comes away with a very nice showing, Ar-Toneliko less so. And hey, Kameo and Fahrenheit aren't doing too bad either.

Go to the japanese Nintendo site for videos of Eyeshield 21. It looks like a good enough game, worth importing if you are unlikely to see it in the u.s.

Would be nice if it did though, since it's based on a yank sport.

To print the money they so desire, Squenix could just port FF7 to PSP. That would sell systems for Sony.

It's time for FF to hang it up. They haven't brought anything new to the table in several years.

I think Fahrenheit is a cooler name, but Indigo Prophecy title ties in better for the storyline.

Theres no chance an Eyeshield 21 game would come to the NA due to license purposes, unless it gets licensed soon. The latest anime games were gettin in the US because of licenses are the Naruto games, heads up for those.

Fahrenheit.

p.s. The Eyeshield 21 game in NA would be hot.

The Eyeshield 21 game have some RPG elements which sound really cool. Hopefully it will come to the US.

BTW. Which sound like a better game title. Fahrenheit or Indigo Prophecy?

Chocobo Racing was awesome and fun. I wish they'd make a sequel. Nice to see the western Fahrenheit get higher scores than an FF7 cash-in.

notice something? in this... ff7 revival you cell phone action game (turks something), a cell phone racer (chocobo racer) ps 2 action games (vincent), a movie you know) and another action game (crisis core)

if i remember correctly wasn't final fantasy 7 an RPG? i'm really scratching my head here, most ff7 fans probably rather get a new rpg or something. so what is the logic behind giving everything but not an rpg? is it some sort of conspiracy?

i already see the future... ff7 football. one team is the characters and one the summons

I guess Ar-Tonelico is nothing special for Jap critics after all. My faith is defenitely there for Onimusha: DoD :) And its good to see Fahrenheit scoring pretty well in both Dengeki and Famitsu. Im a bit worried about Dirge of Cerberus..but the scores alright, ill get it even if it scored in the 60s for all i care.

Not bad for Tourist Trophy either.

Nah hypersonic, the way I look at it is:

Dirge of Cerebus : Final Fantasy VII :: Dead or Alive Volleyball :: DOA

Just gimme my Vincent fanservice, kthnx.

The way I see it, DoC isn't so much about FFVII as it is about Vincent. Also keep in mind the fact that DoC isn't anything close to a traditional RPG, and you've got something similar to what hypersonicexe has said (nice SAT-style analogy, BTW XD): it's essentially a standalone game that simply borrows characters and storyline elements from another game. Basically, it's just doesn't make sense to think you're going to enjoy DoC because you liked/played FFVII.

The same applies to Advent Children. If SE wanted to make a sequel, they'd call it FFVII-2. Anyone could more or less enjoy AC for what it is (a graphically impressive movie) even without having played FFVII. Too many people were complaining about lack of a strong plot, not enough spotlight on the other characters, etc. Obviously that wasn't what the makers were going for. So kokichi, a FFVII remake would indeed be nice, but that's not what all these gamers are supposed to be. They're completely different games set in the same universe, and should be enjoyed as such.

That Eyeshield 21 game sounds intriguing! Man, is it really a football game but with Eyeshield teams? Gotta say I'm pretty interested.

Nice to see favorable scores for Indigo Prophecy.

As much as I enjoyed FF7, Dirge of Cerberus still just doesn't seem like an appealing game.

Shadow the Hedgehog : Sonic Series :: Dirge of Cerberus : FF7

A decent spinoff, but not much more than that.

An FFVII remake for the PS3 would be much more efficient than their DoC / whatever side stories, IMO.

I kinda had a feeling like although it has such a huge following, taking the FF7 franchise in that direction that DoC was headed was gonna be a little sloppy. Im not dismissing it, but i may have to reconsider putting down a reserve for the game, or just rent it.

Looking through the scores from Dengeki, it looks like DoC:FFVII got what could be considered.... a B- or a C from the magazine. If DoC doesn't sell gangbusters.. it may mean that the FFVII revival was a bust? Hmm.....

As for Tourist Trophy? Gran Turismo with "rice rockets." :-P Heh. I dunno... I haven't played it yet; but I might like it. I think the score for Eyeshiled 21 is interesting.. as it got a decent score for being an "American Football" game.

Isn't Tourist Trophy only 4 bikes at a time? that alone tells us how good these reviews are.
