News - Trauma Center: Second Opinion coming to Wii

Posted by Josh Freund at 01:43:35 PM EST on 5.8.2006.

It had been previously rumored that the Wii would be getting a new Trauma Center title, but now we have confirmation as well as a subtitle. According to the latest issue of Game Informer (as well as a banner on the E3 show floor), Trauma Center: Second Opinion is in the works for Wii.

We don't have any details yet, but expect more on this aptly named followup to the DS's Under the Knife at Nintendo's conference tomorrow.

I don't suppose I can expect a realistic looking surgery in the game?

This should be great. If only it wasn't impossible to find 'Under the Knife'."

Funny, I got a copy from Best Buy last week.

Mahew: Yeah, it was.

This sounds great, and it has a ton of potential to kick about a million times more ass than the original with the Wiimote.

ununbiundave: Just about every store around where I am has it in stock. That's odd...

Wasn't the Trauma Center for Wii (then for Revolution, damn that name sounds old) DENIED at one point? "No, there's no new Trauma Center coming. No no, you must be imagining things. Seriously. Nada. Not happening."

Trauma Center was quite an awesome gameplay experience. With Wii's controller, it could have even more potential. I better add this to my list of games to get excited over.

Heh, I'm likeing that subtitle.

It'll be interesting to see what they'll add to the gameplay experience as it's going onto a "bigger" system.

WiFi heart surgery?

Hurrah! Now I need to play the original... -_-;;

Maybe when I get a DS Lite (i.e. my first DS).

HELL YES.

I hope this one retains the difficulty from the DS version.

I love the E3 days so much. :)

Alright, excellent news. I hope that Trauma Center: Second Opinion is playable for Nintendo Wii this Tuesday; it's a perfect fit for the system.
