Being that I'm one of the few people who dislike Sakaguchi's games (and think FF6 is EXTREMELY overrated), pass.

Agreed. I can't wait to get my hands on this game. Come to the US! Please! Oh yeah, and shotmaker, why don't you do that then? Akira Toriyama is a bajillionaire and super famous. If it were that easy, then do it!

Toriyama needs to take a few drawing lessons or just stop working. All someone would need to do is make some game with his art that had a character editor, you can change hight, pick the weight (normal, skinny, or real big and round), include all the standard issue Toriyama parts like bandanas, goggles, vests, spikey hair, pulled back hair or bald, and of course the face is unalterable, and then Toriyama would be out of the business. Who can bare to stare at these rubber stamped dolls for the duration of an epic RPG?

yeah, I hate the promo screen shots too.. want to make a game look sweet? ok give it good graphics and show us actual pictures, not this crap lol. I'm hoping it'll resemble picture one in game :)

Some kinda gameplay shot would be nice... unless the game really does play with slanted camera angles alongside exiting text covering the screen!

uh, sirsnif.. I'm pretty sure if they were going CGI straight up it would look a hell of a lot better and smoother. I can easily see at least half of those pictures up there being in game. some are just assets in a script or set up for the shot yes, but um.

This looks very promising. If it's even close to as good as Chrono trigger it will do well in Japan. Chrono Trigger is in the top 10 of all time best console RPG's.

msz, I've had that happen before where I don't like characters at first, but then due to the story and characterization I could wind up loving the character.

I don't know about you guys but when I see someone I get an impression of how they are from what they look like, everything after that is built by what they say and do. There have been plenty of people I've met where at first i'm like um.... but then after getting to know them its like fux yeah /hug.

I like the main char in Blue Dragon, but I'm not sure about the bandana chick. and that weird short thing. It seems like Akira reuses a lot of ideas.. still sweet though, it's a style of his own

This game has some sweet style, it's a shame that it's most likely going to flop over in the land of the rising J-Rocker.
