According to an
EB Games listing, the mini-game collection known as
Wii Play is heading stateside (and to PAL territories for that matter). This was previously
confirmed on a Nintendo release list a few days ago, but now we know it will be bundled with a Wii remote. The game + remote will retail for $49.99, the price of an ordinary Wii game.
Wii Play is a collection of short games with emphasis on multiplayer, including a
Duck Hunt-like light gun game, a tank game reminiscent of the old
Combat Atari title, variants of air hockey, pool, table tennis, fishing, and others. Some of these allow for use of the Mii, a virtual avatar that Wii owners create, in the games themselves.
Wii Play is due out January 15.

terpfen: you don't need to "hack" WEP, as there are numberous automated tools that can crack it for you.
The word "hack" should be used ONLY to describe either an elegant and ingenious solution to a problem, or a quick-and-dirty solution to a problem. It does not have to be related to computer security, nor does it have to be related to computers at all.
For more info, see:

Cools. Not only do we get it before at launch in December, we also get it cheaper than a standard game.

"My Wii works great on channel 10 with WEP turned on."
WEP is easily hackable. Unless you frequently take your DS online, use WPA2.

My Wii works great on channel 10 with WEP turned on. Wii Play looks good, too bad it won't be here for the New Year's party...

Good! Excellent! I thought this game looked good, but now I have an excuse to get a second Wii Remote.

I already bought three remotes. BOO! Oh well, that's the price of early adoption.
Bundling a remote is a great idea...too bad they're waiting until way after launch.

Nice. I'll suppose I'll get my second wiimote then. So far everyone has just brought thier mote/chucks with them for multiplayer. It makes for a nice necklace, I think.

Okay! Seems to have worked, everything is running silky fast now, Sweet~! Thanks guys.
Just got my 18th copy of Mario 64, then SimCity. I can't wait till more VC games come out, I really want Gunstar Heroes, Ristar, Super Metroid, and Bonk to come out soon, plus others, but holy hell is this going to cost a fortune. X-Mas here I come! (and employee appreciate week's 25% off ;) (if we get more in by then!)
oy, feels so weird buying all these.. you know, because roms and all, but I feel good about it. Kinda wish Mario 64 woulda been free since i PWN it but whatever. It's going to rule having all these games on one console. it's a shame I don't have much time anymore, like I used to when in middle/high school!
as long as nintendo doesn't have these games expire..

I can connect, but it takes FOREVER to do anything!
I have a linksys WRT54G v2, and I can't find anywhere to switch the "channel" although I did switch the transmit rate from auto to whatever the max thing is. cant really tell the difference. it goes off and on randomly and the wii isnt that far away.
wheres the channel thing? this lagass is killing me!

deathchronx- it comes with one, so by buying three, I already have four. :(

I think that this game will sell extremely well. I was originally hoping that Wii Play would be a launch title, but by coming out a couple months later, it lets me play my current games more. Great deal Nintendo.

capness you might just have to change your router channel to 11. I have a linksys and that was my problem. I was trying for HOURS to connect and update to no avail, so I looked online and found the fix, just change the channel to 11.
As far as this game is concered I am sold! 10 bucks for a game and another wiimote which i need anyway, DEAL!

I got one of the fualty systems, but its not exactly "bricked." I just cant use any of the online functions. It sucks, but like you said, not too much hassle to get it fixed.

I understand edges. I just think it's kinda a major piece of news. It seems like Nintendo is getting it under control and handling in true nintendo fashion (no charge for any part of the replacement or repairs including free shipping).
And to stay on task, I would like to point out that this title wasn't on the Q1 release list of Nintendo's 1st party stuff in Q1 and this is being released in Q1/

Yeah, heartless, we got your tip. I was gonna do the article, but I have to run out to work here in a minute, and it was a rather lengthly effort on that one due to the media involved.

I'm sold. So 70 USD for a game and a whole other Wiimote set. Not bad...
I just want to know how this became a news post before anything about the Wii Malfunctions did. As far as I know, no one here has had it happen to them, but seems like there are some problems with WiiConnect24 and it bricking systems.

Not bad. That's like $10 for the game.
