Microsoft announced this week that starting on Monday, March 24, you can download the Xbox Original game
Dreamfall: Game of the Year Edition, to play on your Xbox 360. It costs 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) to download directly to your hard drive, where you can then play it forevermore.
Dreamfall is an adventure game originally developed for both PC and Xbox by Funcom. It's a sequel to Funcom's
The Longest Journey. Though we didn't review it here at GAF, it received mostly positive reviews from our peers at other publications and won some awards as well. For more information on
Dreamfall, check out
its Wikipedia entry.

Hopefully 'GOTY edition' means they clean up the horrible fighting mechanic.
And anybody that hasn't played 'The Longest Journey': I cannot possibly recommend it highly enough.

"20GBs is easily filled"
I don't download nearly as much as I could and it's been over a year since I've had to delete something every time I add it. 20gb is a tiny tiny amount of space.

This is my favorite adventure game since the original Longest Journey. The storytelling in it is so awesome... even if the gameplay itself lacks in some places (fighting wtf)!

"though why do that when you can stream it?"
Because you might not want to keep your PC open all the time and it's a lot easier to just have the songs on your Xbox 360.
"The majority of xbox games were rarely over 3gb, I don't think you'd need to worry all that much about space unless you rip music to your xbox360"
Then there are those demos, trailers & other vids, Live Arcade games and whatnot. 20GBs is easily filled with stuff that you might not want to delete everytime there something new to download. Really, some small ~4MB music files are the smallest problem you'll have.

oystergod: I almost wonder if the Xbox Original program was planned from the beginning or if some smart engineer figured out they could do it and the higher ups said "Really? Huh..."

This whole Xbox original thing is neat, but it almost forces you to buy a 120GB HDD. I might be able to fit one small game on my 20GB if anything.
