News - Sony announces God of War III Ultimate Edition

There may be no Master Chief cat helmet, but the
God of War III Ultimate Edition that Sony just announced is sure to please fans of the series. Coming out exclusively for the PS3 system, the Ultimate Edition includes a number of tangible and digital extras. The pack includes a sculped replica of Pandora's Box as well as a limited edition art book, exclusive digital content headlined by the director's cut of God of War: Unearthing the Legend, a full-length movie documentary depicting the history of the God of War franchise. To round things off, purchasers also get God of War- inspired downloadable music in the form of the God of War Trilogy soundtrack and the God of War Heavy Metal EP (Extended Play) and access to the God of War Combat Arena, containing an exclusive environment and up to seven unique challenges, as well as the exclusive Kratos skin, Dominus, all available for download via the PlayStation Network.
"The God of War franchise has an incredibly loyal fanbase and we know they will be extremely excited with all the exclusive content and memorabilia we've packed into God of War III Ultimate Edition," said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President, Marketing, SCEA. "With fans waiting patiently for the arrival of God of War III for the PS3, we wanted to make sure their anticipation was properly rewarded."
The
God of War III Ultimate Edition comes out for PS3 the same time as the normal version of the game in March 2010. If you pre-order it from "select retailers", you get a code to download the E3 2009 demo from PlayStation Network.

I won't buy the SE, but this game is a must-have for me. I can't wait. I'll finally have an exclusive to buy for my PS3 besides MGS and Uncharted (there are other good ones, they just don't happen to interest me very much)
